The Per-LXC Setup

Per-container LXC provisioning — template selection, network and storage configuration, optional app stack, hardening, and documentation — the lighter, denser alternative to a full VM.

Each LXC container is provisioned from a template with network and storage configuration applied, an optional pre-installed application stack if you specify one, a basic hardening pass, and a documentation entry. LXC containers are the lighter sibling of a full VM — less overhead, faster to provision, denser per host — and many workloads currently running as full VMs would run just as well, and more cheaply, as containers. This is priced per container and is often bundled together with VM provisioning when a mixed fleet is being built out, since the two frequently get ordered in the same batch. If you're not sure whether a given workload should be a VM or a container, that's worth raising during scoping — plenty of "VMs" in production today are containers that never got questioned.

How fast is delivery?
Standard delivery is within 3.75 weekday hours per container. Express delivery — within 2.25 weekday hours — costs 25% more.
How is this different from the Per-VM Setup?
Containers share the host kernel rather than virtualizing full hardware, so they provision faster and pack denser. This is the container equivalent of that service, priced separately per container.
Can we mix VM and container orders in one batch?
Yes — the two are frequently ordered together when building out a fleet, and bundle pricing applies across both.
Should this workload be a container instead of a VM?
That's worth raising during scoping if you're unsure. Many workloads running as VMs today would work fine, and more cheaply, as containers.
