The Cloud-Init Template Library

A set of reusable cloud-init templates — one per OS family — with your own defaults baked in, so every future VM provisions from a tested starting point instead of a manual install.

We build a library of cloud-init templates, one per OS family you standardize on (Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, Alpine, or others on request), each with your own defaults baked in: timezone, default user accounts and SSH keys, monitoring agent pre-installed, and a baseline hardening pass already applied. Every template is test-provisioned end to end before handover to confirm it boots clean and applies correctly, not just that the file is syntactically valid — built by sysadmins with 10+ years average experience in Linux infrastructure, using the same test-provisioning routine on every template. This is a one-off build, priced here for up to 4 templates; an 8- or 12-template library is scoped and quoted as a larger project. The payoff compounds: once the library exists, every future per-VM provisioning job (see The Per-VM Setup) starts from a tested image instead of a manual OS install, cutting time and inconsistency out of every VM spun up afterward.

FAQ

How fast is delivery?
Standard delivery is within 50 weekday hours (≈ 4 working days). Express delivery — within 30 weekday hours (≈ 2 working days) — costs 25% more.
What if we need more than 4 templates?
The quoted scope here covers up to 4. 8- or 12-template libraries are larger projects, quoted separately since more OS families means more testing.
Does this include actually provisioning our VMs?
No — this builds the reusable templates only. Provisioning individual VMs from them is The Per-VM Setup, priced per VM.
Can we update the templates ourselves afterward?
Yes — documentation covers exactly what's in each template, so your own team can extend or adjust them without needing us for every change.
