The Proxmox Cluster

A three-node Proxmox cluster built from scratch — shared storage, high availability, fencing, and tested live migration — enterprise virtualization without a VMware license.

We build a three-node Proxmox cluster from the ground up: cluster networking configured, shared storage set up on Ceph or NFS depending on your hardware and throughput needs, high availability enabled so VMs restart on a surviving node if one fails, fencing configured to prevent split-brain, and live migration tested between all three nodes before handover. A backup strategy is put in place and a runbook is delivered documenting the cluster topology, failure behavior, and day-to-day operating procedures. This is production-grade infrastructure work, and complexity scales with your storage choice — Ceph needs more nodes and network bandwidth than NFS — and with the network gear already in your rack, so the quoted hours assume a reasonably standard three-node build. The build is delivered by virtualization engineers who have been building remote infrastructure since 2003 and who test this same cluster pattern repeatedly rather than assembling it fresh each time, giving you HA and live migration on open-source infrastructure without a VMware license fee.

What's included

  • Three-node Proxmox cluster configured end-to-end
  • Shared storage on Ceph or NFS, matched to your hardware
  • High availability configured for automatic VM restart on node failure
  • Fencing configured to prevent split-brain
  • Live migration tested across all three nodes
  • Backup strategy defined
  • Operating runbook covering topology and failure behavior

How it works

FAQ

How fast is delivery?
Standard delivery is within 450 weekday hours (≈ 29 working days). Express delivery — within 270 weekday hours (≈ 17 working days) — costs 25% more.
Does this include the server hardware or network gear?
No — you supply the hardware. We can recommend specifications but don't broker the purchase, and unusual hardware or thin network bandwidth for Ceph adds hours beyond the quoted estimate.
Is this priced per node?
No — the quoted price covers the three-node build described. Adding nodes beyond three, or a significant storage expansion, is scoped and quoted separately.
Ceph or NFS — which should we pick?
It depends on node count and network bandwidth: Ceph needs more of both but scales further; NFS is simpler for a fixed three-node build. We help you decide during scoping.
