The Linux Endpoint Onboarding

A new starter fully working on a Linux endpoint in one engagement — machine provisioned and accounts live, then a live role-tuned training session ending with a personalized cheat sheet.

We get one new starter fully working on a Linux endpoint in a single engagement, covering both the machine setup and the training that follows it. First, the desktop is provisioned from your standard golden image, accounts are created across your SaaS stack with SSO wired in wherever your identity provider supports it, an email signature is configured, shared drives are mounted, and peripherals — headset, printer, dock, monitor — are checked working, all before the user sits down. A live 30-minute first-day walkthrough hands the machine over properly. That is followed by a roughly 90-minute role-tuned session covering desktop and file-management basics, a settings tour, OnlyOffice Desktop Editors for anyone coming from Microsoft Office, and browser equivalents for anyone used to Edge. The rest of that session is tuned to the person's actual job — sales, design and engineering staff get different app-equivalent coverage — and closes with a personalized one-page cheat sheet for their role. We do not manage your SaaS licensing, SSO provider configuration, or ongoing helpdesk issues beyond the starter's own account.

FAQ

How fast is delivery per user?
Standard delivery is within 12.5 weekday hours per user. Express delivery — within 7.5 weekday hours — costs 25% more. Bundle sessions are typically scheduled together rather than delivered strictly per-user in sequence.
Is there a discount for onboarding a whole team at once?
Bundle tiers of 5, 10, 25 or 50 users carry a modest discount over the per-user rate — tell us your headcount and we quote the tier that fits.
Do you provision accounts on our existing SaaS stack, or just train on Linux?
Both, as one engagement — the desktop is provisioned and accounts, email signature and shared drives are set up first, then the role-tuned training session runs on a machine that is already fully working.
Who delivers the session?
A Linux-experienced technician, not a generalist — the point of the session is fielding real technical questions about Linux specifics, not just reading a script.
What happens after onboarding, if someone hits a problem next month?
This is the up-front session, not ongoing support. Pair it with The Linux Help Desk retainer for day-to-day issues that come up after onboarding is done.
