The Linux Remote Desktop Rollout

Full production Linux desktop deployment for 10–50 users — golden images, automated provisioning, SSO, backups and monitoring, replacing costly Windows VDI.

This is the full production build: a Proxmox cluster sized to your user count (10–50), golden desktop images with your standard application stack baked in, automated provisioning of new users, Ansible-based configuration management standing in for a traditional MDM, SSO integration, printing and peripheral support, backups, monitoring, a written runbook and end-user training documentation. The commercial case is direct — this replaces Windows VDI (Citrix, Azure AVD) running $50–100 per user per month with a Linux desktop fleet on hardware you own, typically landing closer to $25–50 per user per month. It is our highest-leverage remote desktop offer and also the one with the most scope risk, so the quoted price follows a scoping interview and reflects our standard package for your user count; requirements outside that standard build are custom quoted separately rather than folded in after the fact.

FAQ

How fast is delivery?
Standard delivery is within 900 weekday hours (≈ 57 working days). Express delivery — within 540 weekday hours (≈ 34 working days) — costs 25% more.
Does the quoted price cover any user count from 10 to 50?
The price reflects our standard package built to your specific user count within that range, following a scoping interview. Requirements outside the standard build — unusual peripheral support, per-department app stacks, bespoke compliance needs — are custom quoted after that interview rather than absorbed into the standard price.
How does the cost compare to commercial VDI?
Windows VDI through Citrix or Azure AVD typically runs $50–100 per user per month. This rollout is built to land closer to $25–50 per user per month on hardware you own, since you are not paying a per-seat SaaS margin.
What if our requirements fall outside your standard package?
We flag it during the scoping interview and quote it separately — this keeps the standard package price honest for the customers it fits.
